The sponge absorbs all.
(our comments: that is: it takes in everything, and does not discern what has higher value and what needs to be discarded- note our examples cited below) The funnel takes in at one end and lets out at the other: (and thereby retains nothing) The strainer rejects the wine and retains the sediment (and thereby retains only the unpalatable refuse material) The sifter rejects the coarse flour and retains the fine flour Sifter: Our team calls itself the Sifter because we aim to be the sifter. Our executive director is engaging constantly In . He is sifting His goal is to be for you “The Sifter” . We have tried to refine subjects and points in various areas and have often made audio visual presentations on these elaborations. That is why we are called: thesifter.tv . In other cases we may have reports or essays on subjects or links to videos of other sites that support and illustrate our lessons. Sponge: The sponge retains too much material and is not discerning with it. To elaborate this fslaw in processing information we would like to explain a link we would like to present. The upcoming link presents a video about great geniuses with high IQs. We don’t necessarily recommend seeing all of it as it is lengthy and we disagree with certain viewpoints of the producer. The writers in the documentary seem to actually praise the high IQ geniuses for even their excursions in useless and extraneous knowledge that serves no purpnose and is even false. The documentary writers themselves don’t seem to have a solid standard of discerning valuable knowledge from non-valuable or false. We have stated that we come here from the vantage points of Talmudists with a regard for the Torah tradition as unparalleled truth and thereby often a standard of validation or invalidation for other fields. Thereby, when we encounter a bona fide genius who has studied: evolutionary biology, polytheistic theology, or solutions or alternatives to ethics and morality or theology through the physical sciences we regard this as false and extraneous knowledge. Therefore, this list of geniuses has many examples of the “sponge” who was taking it all in and not discarding nor discerning. Strainer: one who catches the extraneous non-palatable sediment and discards the actual wine of sustenance and taste Funnel: the internet itself and access to vast amounts of information makes us all vulnerable to be the funnel: taking in information merely to have it flow out.
